How do we start a conversation with Radial?

We focus on middle market industrial businesses in manufacturing, value-added distribution, and services. We typically invest $25MM–$200MM+ of equity capital in companies generating $5MM+ of EBITDA, predominantly in North America. Our sector focus includes packaging, industrial technology, vehicle aftermarket, building products and materials, environmental, chemicals, medical supplies, and aerospace and defense.

We predominantly work with family and entrepreneur-owned businesses. However, we also pursue other ownership situations, including corporate divestitures, ESOP-owned companies, and recapitalizations.

Both. Some owners want a complete exit, while others want to take some chips off the table, bring in capital and resources to accelerate growth, and remain meaningfully invested. We structure transactions, including recapitalizations, to match what you're trying to accomplish.

We concentrate on sectors where our team has direct prior experience and an established network of industry relationships. That focus means we understand your business and its market from day one. Our approach centers on being great stewards of the companies we partner with, not just financial engineers.

We rely on strong management teams and value the loyalty that comes with family business roots, so we want existing leadership to stay engaged, whether that means continuing to run the business day-to-day, providing strategic advisory input, or taking a board role. The specifics depend on your goals and the structure of the transaction.

Our strategy centers on accelerating growth, not cutting costs through workforce reduction. Growing businesses generally need more people, not fewer. That said, every transaction is different, and we encourage owners to ask direct questions about workforce plans, culture, and leadership continuity before signing anything.

Preserving what makes a business work, including its culture, is part of why we invest the time to understand a company and its people before closing a deal. We're not looking to impose a one-size-fits-all playbook. We do encourage owners to talk candidly with any prospective buyer, including us, about what matters most to them culturally so expectations are aligned from the start.

Absolutely. Many of our best relationships start well before an owner is ready to transact. Early conversations help us understand your business and give you a chance to learn how we work, with no obligation on either side.

We take an active partnership approach rather than a passive, hands-off one, but that doesn't mean we run your business for you. We work alongside management teams, contributing industry expertise and relationships where they're useful, while leaning on the operators who know the business best to run it.
